Skarstedt Gallery

Skarstedt Gallery was founded in 1994 by Per Skarstedt to mount historical exhibitions of the American and European artists that had become the core of his specialty as a private dealer and gallerist in Stockholm, Sweden and New York City in the late 1980's and early 1990's. Since the onset of the gallery, the artwork shown at Skarstedt Gallery has been in constant dialogue with the popular culture of the late Twentieth Century. Skarstedt Gallery publishes catalogs to accompany the exhibition of their artists’ work, including such iconic artists as Keith Haring, Christopher Wool, Barbara Kruger, and Andy Warhol.
