Family

Family is a bookstore, project space, and press on Fairfax Ave in Los Angeles. Family's selection is broad but discerning, specializing in artist's books, zines, contemporary literature, records and DVDs. Family also offers an energetic program of artist slideshow presentations, signings, readings, performance art and music. The project space exhibits work by contemporary artists from around the world. Family's online store focuses on independent publications and is updated regularly. As a publisher, Family has been re-issuing the out-of-print writing of the late Charles Willeford, two titles of which are distributed by ARTBOOK | DAP: Cockfighter and I Was Looking for a Street.
