In Lunar Landscapes: Maasvlakte 2, Dutch photographer Marie-José Jongerius (born 1970) documents the expansion of the Port of Rotterdam--the largest in Europe and third largest in the world. In these photos taken entirely at night, Jongerius portrays the Maasvlakte landscape as both alien and inherently beautiful.
