Archaeologist J‡rg Herold is a frequent traveler: he searches out real and imaginary sites of memory. His performances, drawings, films and installations, which came to prominence at Documenta X, direct attention to sites forgotten or in the process of being forgotten, for instance, the site of Joseph Beuys's plane crash in the Crimea. These nine projects follow his work from 2000 to 2005.
