Published by Dominique LÚvy. Text by Hans Ulrich Obrist, Angela Vettese, Federico Sardella.
Showcasing the paintings of influential Italian artist Enrico Castellani (born 1930), this publication presents his first solo exhibition in London. Castellaniĺs large-scale relief canvases are placed in dialogue with his more recent angular, metallic paintings.
This is the most extensive book published to date on the career and ceuvre of Enrico Castellani. Especially interested in the relationship between space and light, Castellani modified the definite structure of the picture in order to create surfaces modulated by a rhythm of volumes and voids. Here, his work is chronologically analyzed from his early works on paper to his major installations.
