All subsequent developments notwithstanding, Minimalism remains the dominant aesthetic of our time. Eve Aschheim, heir to this great tradition, transforms it with spatial illusion, the ghost of perspective, pictorial ideas from Minimalism's own roots--early Mondrian, late CÚzanne, Suprematism. Of her drawings on mylar and their photogram echoes, the New York Observer recently said, "whenever I bump into one of Aschheim's drawings I want to bump into another."
