|   |   | Jan Welters: Profile
Profile is a highly personal selection of California-based Dutch photographer Jan Welters' (born 1963) work from the early '90s to 2018. Welters has worked with some of the most well-respected fashion labels and magazines in the world, including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Elle and Marie Claire , as well as for the designers Balenciage, Jil Sander and Dior, among others. Welters' models are raw, sometimes unconventional beauties quite often with very little hairstyling and makeup. Whether depicting an androgynous girl with a cowboy hat, a model smoking a cigarette on a beach, a movie star or a picture of his wife or children, Welters' pictures are captivating in their simplicity. His approach to his craft remains independent of trends.
