Yvette Brackman: Systems And Scenarios

Edited by Sabine Russ. Text by Helene Lundbye Petersen, Heike Munder.

Yvette Brackman: Systems And ScenariosSystems and Scenarios covers around 20 years of artist and writer Yvette Brackman’s works and projects, which often combine crafted elements and time-based media to create narratives and engage audiences in issues of common responsibility and social relations. The book is organized around five interviews by Helene Lundbye Petersen, conducted in New York in the Fall of 2011.

Featured image, "Auto Erotic Lingerie (Breasts)" from the Auto Erotic Lingerie Series (1994), is reproduced from Yvette Brackman: Systems And Scenarios.

Yvette Brackman Book Launch at MoMA PS1

Join ARTBOOK @ MoMA PS1 this Sunday, February 10th, for the launch of JRP|Ringier's new monograph on Copenhagen-based writer and artist, Yvette Brackman. Born and raised in New York by a family of Soviet emigrants, Brackman often draws upon Constructivism and Russian regional history in her work, combining crafted elements with time-based media to create narratives and engage audiences in issues of common responsibility and social relations. On Sunday, from 4-5PM, Sabine Russ of BOMB magazine will introduce the book in the MoMA PS1 "Duplex," then speak with Brackman about her work. Featured image, "Auto Erotic Lingerie (Breasts)" from the Auto Erotic Lingerie series (1994), is reproduced from Yvette Brackman: Systems and Scenarios. continue to blog
